TLDR : Answer Summary
A user arrived in Thailand on a DTV visa but noticed that the immigration officer had incorrectly stamped an expiry date of April 7, 2024, instead of the correct date, which should be 180 days later. Suggestions from the community include checking the stamp immediately, visiting the immigration office to correct it, and confirming that the DTV visa allows for a 180-day stay. It’s emphasized that the user should handle the issue promptly to avoid complications.
the visa is good for 180 days. Stamped in 10 Oct 2024 +180 days = 7 Apr 2025.

Imagine the confusion of you telling the officer he was wrong, and the officer telling you that you are now banned due to 6 month overstay 😂

If it’s the one written in black Biro, just change it to a five - Don’t worry about it they know it’s a DTV Visa and they can work out six months from the 10th of October is obviously April 25

Daniel Lester there is no scenario where a passport holder can edit their passport.

Daniel Lester Tampering with an official stamp could land you in serious trouble! Especially in Thailand.

I'm sure you're just joking, and I appreciate the humor! It's totally normal for things like this to cross our minds. Just a friendly reminder, though: if there need to be any changes to a visa stamp, there must be endorsedment by the responsible officer. 😊

You have to go back to Suvarnabhumi immigration office to amend this with the immigration officer.
yes, contact immigration office on ground floor, next to the elevator (departure). We used to experience this in 2019. If anyone experience this later, this info might be invalid.
