What should my partner do before returning to Thailand with a non-B visa and re-entry permit?

Asking on behalf of my partner.

She is on a non b extension of stay and work permit, expiring in August. She had to fly home for an emergency in March and got a re-entry permit before she departed.

She plans to return in late June, early July. Will she need to do anything beforehand, or just fly in?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Your partner, currently holding a non-B visa extension and work permit, should ensure compliance with Thailand's entry requirements before returning in late June or early July. Although her re-entry permit keeps her extension valid, she must meet specific criteria including having COVID-19 insurance, a booked quarantine at an approved hotel, a negative RT-PCR test within 72 hours before her flight, and obtaining a Certificate of Entry from the Thai consulate. It's crucial to stay updated on any changes to these requirements.

and just like that we're done. What this isn't gonna turn into is a "what do you think the entry requirements will be on xxx date?" topic

The re-entry permit will keep her extension 'alive' so she gets stamped in until it runs out when she comes back

BUT she isn't gonna just "fly in" :/

She'll have to meet the entry requirements to get into thailand

Currently those are;

-100K USD in covid specific insurance

-14 days booked quarantine at an approved ASQ Hotel

-negative RT-PCR covid test within 72 hours of her flight

-Certificate of Entry from the thai consulate in the country she's going to leave from.

So she needs to be looking at the thai consulate website and watching the news to see what the entry requirements are when she's gonna come back

Thanks very much. Easier than we imagined. She’s now vaccinated so hopefully can bypass ASQ come June/July 🤞🏻

***She’s now vaccinated so hopefully can bypass ASQ come June/July*** . . . yes, if Phuket starts the "sandbox model" by July 1st, she could fly into Phuket, stay 7 days in "island quarantine" and is free to travel to anywhere in Thailand after

Unlikely at the moment......

@Chris ****
if that would be possible in June / July - only within the sandbox project at Phuket
