Hi would like to seek for an advise,

Hubby resigned last ocr2 and his last day of work is on Nov 2,

the company will cancel his work permit and extension of stay on Oct 7, will he still going to get new stamp permit to stay until Nov2?  is it too early to cancel his work permit? How many days is allowed before his last day of work?

Best of luck Richa. Like I said, it will depend on both the Labour Office and Immigration in your area. Some do. Some don't.

Actually i posted my query this afternoon..and i thought my post was not approved that's why I pmd Tod and he replied that I can cancel earlier and will still get the stamp base mention from the termination letter which Nov 2....thank you for all the response....I will update this once I get the new stamp...

If they cancel the work permit on October 7, but make it effective November 2, it might be ok. Depends on the Labour Office and the Immigration Office you are doing it at. Some insist on it being done on the actual day, not in advance.

I could be wrong, and the experts can tell you, but I think the cancellation of the work permit and the extension of stay it is based on, and the new work permit and the extension of stay applications should both be done on the same day. Otherwise, there could be problems. Let's hear from

Richa Suzette Can you post a copy of the stamp that you received in the passport? I never heard of a "permit to stay" stamp before.

When he cancels his work permit, his extension of stay also becomes invalid. The amnesty has been extended until October 31, so your husband can stay until October 31.

With his work permit cancelled, he can not work.
