Hi guys, quick question.
My wife is on a non-o spouse extension attached to my visa. I am a teacher. (I'm sorry if the nomenclature is not correct, her stamp says non o)
She will cancel and change her visa soon, my employer will issue a letter to cancel.
My question is about dates. Will she have a window of time that she can leave the country after cancellation, 7 days for example, or will she need to leave that same day? I'd like to be sure about what dates we need on the letter.
Thanks!
TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the cancellation of a non-O spouse extension visa for the user’s wife, who is a dependent of a teacher. The user inquired whether there is a grace period after the visa cancellation. A comment suggests that she can visit the immigration office up to 10 days prior to the cancellation date stated in the employer's letter, which would allow her to effectively cancel her visa and have a window of time to leave the country.
