Hi, I’m a UK citizen applying for a non O retirement Visa. I registered on the Thaievisa.go.th site and started to apply for visa. However when I get to the purpose for visit box there is no “Retirement(age 50 or above pensioner with a state pension who intends to stay in Thailand no longer than 90 days).” The closest option I can find is “ Those who wish to stay in Thailand for no longer than 90 days(single entry).” Can someone help me out please.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A UK citizen encountered issues applying for a non O retirement visa on the Thaievisa.go.th site, as the option for 'Retirement Visa' was missing. Commenters noted a recent change in wording, causing confusion, and confirmed that the closest option pertains to a 90-day stay. They advised that the non O visa is valid for 90 days initially and can be extended thereafter.

Valid for 90 days and gives permission to stay 90 days which can then be extended. The visa is not extended, that is gone/used.

If you are over 50 and fulfil the monetary requirements you can make it Extension of Stay called a ‘Retirement Visa’

Yes, they just changed the wording last week and made it even more confusing, but your thinking is correct.
