Noob question. METV - the 60 days can't be extended within Thailand at Immigration like an SETV can it? You need to leave the country every 60 days I think? Also do you have to fill out a re-entry form? Is this done on the way out? And lastly - can you just border bounce in and out or do you have to stay out for 24 hrs? The guys at the consulate didn't really explain!

TLDR : Answer Summary
A Multiple Entry Tourist Visa (METV) allows you to stay in Thailand for 60 days per entry, which can be extended for another 30 days at local immigration for a fee of 1900 baht. You have the option to border bounce to obtain a new 60-day stamp, and there are no specified rules about the duration you must stay outside Thailand before returning. You do not need to fill out a re-entry form when leaving Thailand.
Oh wow, so you can extend it. I have no idea that you could do that :) Thanks so much that is really good news. The endless debate about where to go in October for a border bounce can be delayed for another 30 days :D I don't know where I got the idea that it couldn't be extended!
This visa is a multiple entry tourist visa, so you can border bounce as much as you like till the valid until/enter before date on the visa. On every entry you get 60 days of stay. Every entry can be extended with another 30 days at Immigration Office and cost 1.900 Thb. Thailand has no rules on how long you have to stay abroad to come back for a new entry on the visa.
You can extend for 1900baht also you just stamp out then stamp into other country then stand out then back into Thailand I did it 1month ago in Chiang Mai took 1hour and I looked at stalls n stuff in Myanmar cost 500bajt they take your passport then when you go to leave they give it back to you no problem
