A heads up for anybody thinking of entering Thailand without an onward ticket. I’ve had a extension of stay Non ‘O’ based on wife and daughter for several years and no issues.

Just tried to check in for a flight with Oman air and denied bcoz I did not have an onward ticket. I showed the check in staff my valid extension stamp till 2020 and they still refused.

Finally a manger saw sense and agreed that I did not have to purchase an outbound ticket.

But it did take a lot of explaining.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A traveler experienced issues checking in for a flight to Thailand without an onward ticket, despite holding a Non-O extension of stay valid until 2020. The airline initially denied boarding due to their policy regarding return tickets, but a manager ultimately acknowledged the validity of the traveler's circumstances. This highlights potential challenges expats may face with airline policies, separate from Thai immigration regulations.

That’s some airlines policy. Nothing to do with Thai immigration.
