We will be flying in next week and planning on doing an extension for staying 60 days.
Should we have an onward ticket dated for the first 30 days or should we show an onward ticket for our desired stay of 60 days?
Thanks for your help. :-)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the necessity of showing an onward ticket for their stay in Thailand, specifically whether it should be for 30 days or cover their planned stay of 60 days. Responses highlight that technically, an onward ticket for 30 days is required, and various solutions are proposed, including purchasing a low-cost ticket, renting a ticket temporarily, or negotiating with the airline.
- low cost throwaway ticket to nearby destination ~ 1,000 baht with airport tax recoverable (Air Asia, Thai Lion Air etc)
- rent a real ticket for 48 hours on flyonward.com for about 10 dollars.
- solution that involves knowledge of editing software, that I cannot go into on a public forum.
- argue with the airline to accept a ticket in 60 days or no ticket by signing an indemnity agreement that you would be liable for all cost of repatriation should you get rejected entry.
