I am going to Thailand for 3 months. Should I have a return ticket anyway??? I think if I like to stay more or less than 3 months. It's my responsibility to have someone give me directions.

TLDR : Answer Summary
When planning a trip to Thailand for 3 months, it's advisable to have an onward or return ticket, especially if you're traveling without a visa. Most airlines require proof of an onward flight during check-in, and failure to present one may lead to being denied boarding. Some travelers suggest booking a one-way ticket shortly before departure for a low cost, or opting for an open return ticket that can be changed later. Always verify your airline's specific policies to avoid complications.
You got a rogue check in agent who didn't know what they were doing. I wasn't checked and I am confident I'll always be able to get in on a one way ticket especially with the DTV, which is even better than the multi entry non-Os and non-Bs I was previously on.
That doesn't make any sense. I've never been asked for an onward ticket when coming in on a 12 month multiple entry B or O visa and those only give you 90 day stays.
neither have I and ive been doing this route 3-4 times a year for the last 21 years on different entry visas. Something has changed I think as at check in they where checking everyone in front of me.
