WARNING: The tdac card is free to submit, I found out the hard way that scammers send you an email that says you have to pay a fee to finish application the first day or two you are in Thailand, the email looks real official with Thai Embassy stamp on it and the link to pay looks official but it is a scam. I wasnt in this country 12 hours and had to cancel my debit card..smh..I know I know a quick Google would have told me its free but this place can be overwhelming your first couple hours and I wasnt paying the attention to the email I should have. Just a heads up!!! Also I had no problem coming in I walked right thru immigration, she looked me up in cpu and stamped my card and let me in, didnt take 20 or 30 seconds, she didnt ask for return ticket or how much cash I brought or when I was leaving, it is a good idea to be prepared for these questions just in case tho.
Answer summary
The tdac card application is free, and there are scams circulating claiming that a fee is required to complete the application—these emails look official but are fraudulent. A user shared their experience of smoothly entering Thailand without being asked for excessive documentation, but advises that it's wise to be prepared for questions like return tickets and proof of funds.

Very sorry that happened to you, Laos is actually one of the best choices to go for. Vietnam has actually the highest rejection rate at the moment and Ho Chi Minh is strict. They reject for basically nothing sometimes especially recently and even agencies have this issue now with clients even though they have used the same system for ages. I sent you a message, i know an agency who helps to review the documents for rejected applications for free to identify the possible rejection reasons, but that only helps you for future application, they cant check anything factually cause there is no chance to have that info from Vietnam.

A visa is not a item you just can buy.

A visa you get granted if Thailand see an advantage by letting you in.

Apply in the country where your documentation originates from, that Embassy has the best prerequisites to evaluate serious application, instead of going to the Embassy’s og Thailands neighboring country’s where the bulk of the the wannabee longtime tourist applications are made.

I know this suggestion might not be so helpful, but better try to do it yourself without agent. 😅 That is not so hard that like go get a job interview, to show and explain what is your work, showing source of income, and declare yourself why you want to get DTV. If you are still get rejected just change Embassy location and review your application once again. You will not ask the companies why keep rejecting your application right? The only one reason that company doesn't think you fit their requirements or just doesn't like your presentation of your application. That's it. Sometimes need some luck.

I think a better way to avoid getting rejected is to apply for the ED visa first. Then stay in Thailand using your visa-exempt entry while the application is being processed. Before your visa-exempt stay expires, travel to Laos and remain there until the ED visa is approved. After that, re-enter Thailand using the ED visa. This approach may reduce the risk of issues with your application.

I'm starting to think some agencies are working for Vietnam tourism department as a 2nd job, never heard a bad story from laos vientiane. using a agencies brings more heat because some that don't meet the requirements were using agencies to get around the rules before as well, Grok Ai and meeting the requirements in Loas Vientiane should be a safe bet.

Just looked at you profile from what I’ve seen I’d say your just another who’s trying to play the system ,,, this is why Thailand is clamping down on Moody visa applications.

I'm sorry for that. I also got rejected and issued a tourist visa instead of DTV. I applied as a remote worker and all my documents were fine (checked with two friends who have DTV). I've heard soft power applications have a higher chance for approval. Remote workers have gotten more difficult. I'll apply again as soft power when my TR visa expires. Wish you the best 💖

Your description in the letter might be misleading for the visa you're applying for. You're confirming you're an employee, so you shouldn't mention that you'll be a shares partner in the company, as that would be the wrong type of work visa. (Non -b for employees or Non-b for investment, business)

That's exactly what I thought when I read his post. It sounds overly complicated and confusing.

depends where the company is based. Is it outside Thailand, then you can’t get a visa for NON/B since you remotely workes

Why would they care that you're going to get shares of the company soon?

KISS

Don't make your situation more complex than it is or needs to be

Thailand has seen it all. Shell companies. Friends pretending they employ people. Etc.

If your situation looks dodgy they will usually assume it is
