What should I know about applying for the DTV Soft Power visa in Thailand, specifically regarding financial requirements and potential rejection reasons?

Hi everyone, I have a question about the DTV Soft Power visa.

I’m planning to apply around 18 December. The required 500k THB is in my parents’ account, not mine. If I transfer the money into my own account now, will that be a problem? Do they check how long the funds have been there, or only the balance on the application day?

I was planning to apply in Ho Chi Minh, but I can change cities if needed.

If anyone has recent experience, what should I be careful with? Any common reasons for rejection I should avoid?

Thanks a lot for any advice.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks advice on applying for the DTV Soft Power visa, notably regarding the financial requirement of 500,000 THB, which is currently in their parents' account. They inquire if transferring funds to their own account beforehand will create issues, whether there are checks on how long the funds have been maintained, and if they need to switch their application location from Vietnam. Comments suggest there are no seasoning requirements in Vietnam, stressing the need for a final balance of 500k and recommending a sponsorship letter from the parents.

If its your parents providing the finance they should be able to provide a sponsorship letter but they may also need to show the money in their account

Vietnam has no seasoning requirement. A final balance of 500k is needed. Book a course at least 6 months long. Check the main DTV group on FB 100s of tips from applicants from Vietnam.
