TLDR : Answer Summary
When you receive a new passport after your old one has expired, you must ensure that you carry both the old and the new passports, as they share the same identity. It is advisable to take both passports to immigration to transfer any visas and stamps to the new one. Some individuals have opted to pay an agent for this service, with fees around 2000 baht in Chiang Mai.

Take both to immigration to transfer your stamps and Visa to your new one. I paid an agent 2000b to do it for me in CM.

Yep... but a different number. You have to go to Immigration to transfer the visa from the old to the new passport.

Anonymer Teilnehmer The Immigration has your visa in their database, bonded to your passpaort. If someone can tell what to do in this case, then the Immigration, no? Somehow you need to inform them about your new passport and they will change something... they might even give you a kind of "transfer stamp" in the new passport... not sure about that.

you can't transfer a multiple-entry visa, only an extension.

I wasn't the one asking.

You can transfer the stamp, i.e. the permission of stay, but not the visa itself.
