TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking guidance on returning to India after applying for a tourist visa to Thailand while holding a single entry student visa for India. The comments suggest purchasing a return ticket to India, but caution that without a re-entry permit from India before leaving, the student visa may be canceled. Several commenters provide advice on verifying visa rules, and some express frustration with the user's planning.

If you have a single entry Visa to India, and you go to Thailand , you need to renew your india Visa in Bangkok, which I can assure you is a hassle

I’d probably be searching the internet more then than asking people on a Thailand focused fb page.

I’m not meaning to sound harsh, but would probably be a better thing to do than asking on here.

Good luck.

Can you buy a re-entry permit before you leave India? That's how it works here in Thailand... if you have a student visa and want to leave and return again. But if you leave without a re-entry permit, the student visa is automatically cancelled.

Youre not Indian but entered India on single entry student visa? Then left to go to Thailand or want to go to Thailand. Then return to India? Maybe explain a bit better because it's a bit confusing.

I think you'll need to ask Indian embassy, how to apply for another visa. And where can you apply. I'm not sure how easy that will be if you're in Thailand.
