What should I do regarding my flight and visa situation if the 60-day visa-free entry converts to 30 days right before my trip to Thailand?
If the 60 day visa free switches to 30... and I leave next Tuesday for a 45 day trip. Will I need a return flight before that 30 days? Then apply for a 30 day extension in Thailand? What's the best way to go about getting a faux flight, to show return flight within the 30 days?

The 60 day visa is a single or multiple entry tourist visa. That's not in any discussion.

Stop worrying it will not change any time soon, if at all. On arrival you will be stamped in for 60 days, so no issue

You'll only need onward travel within 30 days, it doesn't need to be a "faux flight". Book a cheap flight or bus to a neighbouring Country. It probably won't change 👍

Roger Scarlet..rubbish...I have done it twice with a bus ticket to Vientiane from Udon thani...Qatar airlines twice checked before boarding in London and accepted it. Immigration in Bangkok also requested proof of leaving as my return flight to London was 5 months after my arrival in Thailand and even they accepted the bus ticket

Colin Crane As many times as the Immigration Officer will allow, if you're a genuine tourist you won't have a problem, it's only people trying to live in Thailand without the correct visa that encounter problems, extensions of stay are issued at the discretion of your local Immigration office
