I discovered I book a return ticket from Bangkok to Rome 10 days after the expiration of the ticket. What to do?

May I go straight to Bangkok airport and pay the 500 baths a day to the custom without any further formality?

Thanks for the help...

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you have booked a return ticket from Bangkok to Rome that is 10 days after your visa expiration, you should avoid deliberate overstay as it can lead to serious consequences including imprisonment and a ban on future entries. Instead, it is advisable to go to a local immigration office to extend your visa for an additional 30 days, which typically costs around 1,900 baht. Paying the daily overstay fee directly at the airport might seem easier, but it carries the risk of being stopped by authorities and facing legal issues.

Never wise to plan a deliberate overstay, get a 30 day extension from immig, try to avoid Monday’s when they tend to be busier…….

dude just pay the 500 a day it’s easier than going to extend your visa and wasting a whole day of your life

even one day in immigration prison is not what someone should want...

My advice..

Do not deliberately overstay your visa exemption entry as this could effect future entry to Thailand.

Go to a Thailand immigration office and extend your visa exemption for another 30 days.

500? More like 5000, it's 500 per day you overstay so why do you want problems in the future? Go to your local immigration and extend

Never overstay !!!

If you are stopped and checked( it happens)

Straight to immigration prison .

You won't like it much

Go to immigration and extend.

No you go extend for 30 days for 1900 baht at immigration
Katrin *******
Extend it at immigration. Overstay is not a good idea.

once it's passed a couple of days. In any case you just signal it and pay the fine (like a big boy/girl/..). Buddhism is forgiving 😉

Unless you get pulled over or stopped by police or immigration and then paying a fine won't be the issue and getting deported and banned will

@Robert **********
ban is not worst, immigration jail is not the mustsee place at all

Extend your visa (entry stamp) for 30 days (depending on passport) or do a border run.

You can pay overstay at airport but if you get stopped and found without a valid entry stamp during those ten days. You can be arrested, deported and banned from entering Thailand
