I discovered I book a return ticket from Bangkok to Rome 10 days after the expiration of the ticket. What to do?
May I go straight to Bangkok airport and pay the 500 baths a day to the custom without any further formality?
Thanks for the help...

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you have booked a return ticket from Bangkok to Rome that is 10 days after your visa expiration, you should avoid deliberate overstay as it can lead to serious consequences including imprisonment and a ban on future entries. Instead, it is advisable to go to a local immigration office to extend your visa for an additional 30 days, which typically costs around 1,900 baht. Paying the daily overstay fee directly at the airport might seem easier, but it carries the risk of being stopped by authorities and facing legal issues.
ban is not worst, immigration jail is not the mustsee place at all

Extend your visa (entry stamp) for 30 days (depending on passport) or do a border run.
You can pay overstay at airport but if you get stopped and found without a valid entry stamp during those ten days. You can be arrested, deported and banned from entering Thailand
