I discovered I book a return ticket from Bangkok to Rome 10 days after the expiration of the ticket. What to do?
May I go straight to Bangkok airport and pay the 500 baths a day to the custom without any further formality?
Thanks for the help...

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you find yourself with a return ticket from Bangkok to Rome that is 10 days after your visa expiration, it is critical not to overstay your visa. Instead of paying the daily overstay fee at the airport, which could lead to serious consequences like arrest or deportation, it is advisable to visit a local immigration office to apply for a 30-day extension of your visa. Several commenters highlighted that planning for an overstay is unwise and emphasized the importance of adhering to visa regulations to avoid issues with future entries into Thailand.

I went yesterday to the government visa center, I followed the procedure and the employee took my papers and the money.
After she went to her manager for the final approval that was rejected with the motivation that I had been too little time in Thailand to ask for the visa and come later!!!!?!!?!

A few people on her giving horrible advice. Do not listen to them. Do it legally and go to immigration and extend your stay 30 days.

Extend your visa (entry stamp) for 30 days (depending on passport) or do a border run.
You can pay overstay at airport but if you get stopped and found without a valid entry stamp during those ten days. You can be arrested, deported and banned from entering Thailand
