Hi and a happy new year to all the genuine helpers of this group, I came on a 60 day tourist visa and have extended it by the permitted 30 days I have applied for a non o visa based on retirement the kalasin office informed me that it should be ready by the 1st of January my problem is that my current visa expires on the 4th of January, with the holidays at this time if I do not receive the new visa by then will I have to do a border bounce? Many thanks John

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is concerned about their NON-O visa application based on retirement, which is expected to be ready by January 1st, while their current visa expires on January 4th. Community members advise against doing a border bounce, stating it's unnecessary if the visa application is under consideration. They suggest going to the immigration office on January 3rd to collect the visa, indicating that as long as the paperwork was accepted, there should be no issues.

I think once they take payment ,it will all be sorted.

If your visa is "under consideration" there is no need.

When under consideration just go the first day open back and get your second stamp, no worries.

Do not do a border bounce or you will have to start over again. You can't be on overstay as they have accepted your application

don't worry. You're doing everything officially. If it's not ready they should give you an additional under consideration stamp which counts as a valid stay.

Your visa won't be ready until January 3rd, as immigration won't be open until then. But go in on January 3rd and collect your visa. If they accepted your paperwork then they are certain everything is okay and you shouldn't have any issues.
