NON O IMMI VISA EXTENSION AND BORDER RUN

i am on my 3rd extension of non-o-immi (retirement).

i plan to leave thailand once this extension expires, but i will require 2 more months of stay to see the end of my rental contract.

i am based near pattaya

how should i do a border run?

and what are the requirements both side of the border?

my plan would be:

at the end my extension i exit thailand and enter cambodia at nearest entry which is poipet, where i get tourist visa on arrival.

how long should i stay in cambodia to be allowed back to thailand on a 30 days entry stamp?

and what are the requirements to reenter thailand? (flight out, cash, etc)

then in thailand i apply for a 30 days tourist extension.

is there anything flawed with this plan?

many thanx for contributions

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, currently on their third extension of a NON O IMMI visa for retirement, seeks advice on executing a border run to Cambodia to extend their stay in Thailand. They plan to leave Thailand at the end of their extension, enter Cambodia via Poipet for a tourist visa on arrival, and then re-enter Thailand for a 30-day entry stamp. Community members advise caution regarding the Poipet crossing due to potential entry issues and suggest considering a different border or employing an agency for the border run.

Poipet is the flaw in your plan. Choose another border crossing

DO NOT USE POIPET. Use any other border. There's a very high risk that you're denied entry at Poipet and forced to travel all the way to Siem Riep and fly back.

Just find a border bounce agency that will drive you to the border and handle everything for you and make sure you get in and out quickly and efficiently.

I’ve been meaning to ask: Is there any advantage in paying an agency when the consulate’s website says it grants tourist visas to those who walk in the door?

@Leonard ********
I have no personal experience. Maybe get you further up in line? I wouldn't do it personally

@Brandon ***********
thx! By not doing it personally, you mean you would pay for the agency service?
