Hi, I’m a Non B visa holder which is up for renewal on or before the 26th of June. However, I’m in the US at the moment and the nearest Thai embassy isn’t open yet so I have no idea how I can get my visa renewed before I get back to Thailand. Is there an amnesty for non b visa holders stuck outside Thailand? Any advice? Thanks very much in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A Non B visa holder is facing expiring visa issues while being in the US, where the nearest Thai embassy is closed. The best advice is to wait for more information on entry to Thailand and to contact the Thai embassy in the USA regarding obtaining a new Non B visa. Additionally, it's important to check if there are any special provisions for those stuck outside Thailand.

As Thailand is still closed to most foreigners ...and your Non B is expiring June 26...its best to wait for added information re when you can enter Thailand.

Then contact the Thai Embassy in USA about obtaining a NEW Non B visa.

Do you hold a Thai work permit under your Non B now ?

thanks a lot for the response. I did contact the nearest Thai embassy but got a recorded message saying the embassy isn’t open due to Covid 19. I guess I just have to wait for added information as you said.

Yes, I do have a Thai work permit under my Non B.

My work permit is expiring this month too. Would it still be considered?

if you have the Thai work permit you are eligible to apply for special permission to enter Thailand.
