I just missed the 21 day window to apply for my non-O. The agent said I should go to a neighboring country and apply at the Thai embassy. But she could not tell me what it would cost, because each embassy charges different fees – is that true?
I don’t mind doing a bit of travel, and I don’t mind paying reasonable fees for a 90 day visa. I just want to make sure I don’t got caught in bureaucratic hassles. And I want to get away from smoke, so probably not Laos.
Recommendations? Hanoi is nice this time of year...
