Hello everyone, my friend is applying for a DTV visa in Hanoi and the application was canceled due to incorrect personal information. After checking, we noticed that one given name is missing, while the family name is correct. Has anyone experienced this before, and is it possible to correct the information and have the application resumed, or does it require submitting a new one?

TLDR : Answer Summary
If your DTV visa application is canceled due to missing personal information, you will need to submit a new application. Unfortunately, the visa handlers cannot correct or overwrite personal information once submitted. Be prepared to pay the application fee again, and ensure to review your details thoroughly before resubmitting to avoid similar issues in the future.
Seriously do thorough checks x 3 times, to ensure every detail is correct before submitting. Think of it as an important examination. Do the application in a quiet place without distraction.
Just restart the process, learn from the mistakes, pay the fee and submit again and see if they request any further information or not then just stay in the country you applied from, do not leave the country and wait for the decision by email. Once you submit, keep a regular, close eye on your application so if they do request something you can provide it
Nope, your name needs to match watch is in the Passport machine readable code. If canceled, application is null and start over with a new fee. They have warning signs for this before submitting
