TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for the DTV Visa in Thailand and you do not have your flight number or hotel accommodations, you can input placeholder information. Suggestions from the community include using a random flight number, such as '000', or a hotel address, preferably one with a flexible cancellation policy. Some users even suggest leaving flight details blank, as they received their visa approval without providing specific information. Using services like onwardtickets.com for flight bookings is also recommended.

I left all the flight information, planned entry date etc blank.

Intended address just picked a random hotel (didn't book it).

No questions and got my DTV 2 days later.

onwardtickets com flight booking works. $16 usd.

Flight numbers are not specific to a certain day or time, they are the same all year round, like route numbers on a bus.

Flight details are specific about date an time.

So you have to differentiate between the 2, what they ask for.

i'm so annoyed.... Already had one rejected because they say I had "mismatched expiry date on passport".... The lady at the embassy said that that means my passport expiration date did not match what I put in the system... I checked everything over and over, but I guess something screwed up.... She says I can't fix it I have to spend another $400 to reapply😏

I had to reapply with a new fee, when I had a wrong passport number (extra number). But luckily it was a tourist visa so it was $40.
Henrik *****
That is the way it is, with any visa application, if you misspell name, or make other errors, then you need to make a new application.

And since the embassy staff have done the same work with a faultry application, as they do with a perfect application, they have to be payed for their work.

make sure you’re not using autofill when completing the application. I almost had the same thing happen to me as well.

@Bryant ****
seems like a minor error rather than a substantive issue with the applicationn- surprised to hear you've got to fully reapply and pay the $400 !

ANY mistake with passport information is an instant rejection and loss of application fee.

I realize that, but it is still ridiculous

Would you work for free for a customer ?

And in lots of Thai Embassy webpages in is written vere specific, that it is your responsability to check everything is correct, before you apply.

“IMPORTANT

Simple mistake(s) could lead to rejection of your application. The visa fees will NOT be refunded in all cases.

The Embassy CAN NOT edit your personal details for you.

With a wrong full name, even if the Embassy had granted you a visa, you may encounter difficulties at the immigration checkpoints when you enter Thailand.”

@Henrik ****
depending on the situation, of course. As I'm sure most would. However, I wouldn't call this a "customer" situation. Do you prefer administrative bureaucracy?
Henrik *****
Just make sure YOU fill in the application correct ( always take a screenprint before going to the next page ), then there are no problems.

What you do, can not be called administrative bureaucracy.
