Re: new online tourist visa application process, London embassy. They want me to put an inbound flight date and flight number on my tourist visa application. I don't intend to book the flight until I'm sure I have the visa! Do we think it's okay to put in a 'theoretical' or 'holding' number and date and come in on a different flight? Or will that cause a lot of hassle? Pre- the online system, I would arrange the visa, then had 3 months to sort out the details of my trip to Thailand 🧐

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is uncertain about providing a flight date and number for their Thai tourist visa application, as they do not intend to book a flight until the visa is confirmed. Comments suggest that a confirmed flight ticket is typically required for the application process, with some users advising against using a theoretical flight number due to potential complications.

Yeah you defo need a confirmed flight as they need to see the booking. If all fails you will get a single entry I reckon. I'm in the same boat as you but if all fails get a setv, so atleast you can still go and use the flight.

If you already have a history of staying in Thailand, or as you say: if they decide I go to Thailand too much and don’t grant me the visa, than it really becomes time to apply for a visa that fits your purpose of your stay. Or take the gamble and what ever happens happens, good luck.

They want a confirmed flight ticket. I'm guessing if you don't supply what they require, then they don't supply the visa.

It all seems simple enough to me.

Here are the requirements. A travel booking confirmation is required.

Travel booking confirmation

Proof of accommodation in Thailand e.g. hotel booking, invitation letter from family or friend in Thailand

Confirmation of legal residence in the UK or Ireland (if applicants are not nationals of these countries) e.g. long stay visa, residence permit, BRP card

Amber Donebauer if you have already made your mind up on what they are asking, why bother posting the question? Do it how you see fit to do it and not how they are asking for it to be done.

Good luck

@Ron ******
and then if they decide I go to Thailand too much and don’t grant me the visa? They’re asking for a flight date and number as far as I can see, not a booking confirmation
