I am applying for the DTV visa at the Los Angeles USA thai embassy. When you have to fill out travel information can I just look up a flight number and put down a hotel without actually booking them. This visa is valid for 5 years, if approved can I just say I rescheduled flight and accommodations? The application does not request proof of travel or accommodation. What has everyone been doing in the Travel Imformation section.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about the process of filling out travel information for a DTV visa application at the Thai embassy in Los Angeles, specifically whether it's acceptable to list a flight number and hotel details without having booked them. Comments from the community indicate that it is generally permissible to provide this information without actual bookings, as the visa application does not require proof of travel or accommodation. Several users suggested that applicants could list a flight and hotel and use reservations that allow for free cancellation, while others noted the sometimes nonsensical nature of requiring such information for a visa.
Correct. Although it has been the case for years, let's be honest, it's actually nonsensical to require flight bookings for a visa. It's like requiring possession of a car for doing a driving exam. You do your exam first and only buy the car if you're allowed to use it. That's how it should also work with visas, and it's good to see they finally realize that.
Rob i just had mine approved, you can find a flight and put the details and you can do the same for the hotel. Don't buy the ticket, nor reserve the hotel. I think they asked for address of the hotel. So make a reservation which you can cancel.
