G'day page, made a numerical error when booking flights, arrived last night 21st stamped in to leave 60 days 19th Jan, but, return flight is next day so will be one day over,

Fess up now or pay fine in the day ?

Does an overstay reflect badly on future marriage visa application?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user mistakenly booked a return flight that causes a one-day overstay on their 60-day visa in Thailand. Comments suggest that this minor overstay may not incur a fine at the airport and will not negatively impact future visa applications. Alternatives suggested include changing the flight, obtaining a visa extension, or leaving the country and returning.

Just make a leisure trip by leaving the country and come back. Problem (?) solved.

If you are really worried about it and are willing to spend half a day going to an immigration office and 1900฿ get a 30 day extension.

perhaps just change your flight out, since it is about 2 months away from now.... 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

one day no fine but a stamp if you can check in online before midnight and pass passport control you can hang out airside no overstay

Well, you're far from the first foreigner who found out that a 60 day free entry stamp is really 59 days 😮 (because they count the day you stamp in as day ONE no matter what time it is) 😕

You will be okay flying out with an overstay of under 24 hours as there is no overstay fine for that at the airports when you stamp out

You will get a thai language only stamp next to your departure stamp that says overstay under 24 hours fine waived, and it will not affect your entry to thailand in the future

I was reading LTR rules today and there is a section which state requirements no overstay on previous visas.

So maybe there is bad side effect of these small overstays in future for some.

Some legal office says maybe 1 time 1 day is ok but multiple one means high likely denial of LTR.

Probably somewhere else can have negative effects too.

as a rule those one day/no fine overstays do not precluded you from getting an Elite visa or an LTR, it's significant overstays
