Hi all! Immigration officer stamped the wrong date for exit date on my boyfriends passport. We both have a 60 day tourist visa and his stamp says 30 days.

Do we need to go to the airport to fix it or can we go to an immigration office in Patong ? We landed at Phuket airport.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is seeking advice on correcting an incorrectly stamped exit date on a tourist visa in Thailand. They have a 60-day visa, but the stamp indicates only 30 days. Comments suggest going to either the Patong immigration office or back to the airport for correction, with most believing that the airport is the more likely solution. Additional advice includes checking visa details upon entry to avoid such issues.

I had this experience once in Chiang Mai, and went back to the airport, with the help of my Thai friend. They changed the stamp.

The mistake was not with the IO, it was with your BF not showing the tourist visa. Always check the stamped-in date before proceeding. Yeah I know - nag nag nag 😉

Try the Patong office, but 99% sure they’re gonna tell you to go back to the airport to fix it.

You can go back to the airport you arrived at OR go to the immigration office. Either place should be able to fix the bad stamp
