Good day. I applied for my DTV visa in Indonesia. It took 30 days, then this morning I received my e visa document only to state the type of visa is TR 6 Months. And not DTV. All documents were submitted, no questions asked through the process, but now i got issued a tourist visa. How can i query this? I paid a lot of money to get a DTV visa, not a tourist visa. Please help with advice??

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user applied for a DTV visa in Indonesia but received a TR (tourist) visa for 6 months instead. Despite submitting all required documents, they question how to inquire about this issue, given the substantial fee for the DTV visa. Comments suggest this situation happens often, with embassies issuing the type of visa they deem suitable based on submitted information. Recommendations include contacting the embassy directly for clarification, though some comments emphasize that such decisions are final and typically non-refundable.

I saw in the form that they will refund you part of the payment ***in the number of entries is reduced from multiple to single*** . so maybe in this case too, they might refund you on the gap between two visa types. good luck.

It's very strange that, if you failed to meet a requirement, they did not ask for further documentation but, that said, they deemed you did not meet the requirements fully and issued you with a visa that you did qualify for.

so nice to judge. I don't disclose my personal information and feel it doesn't need to be mentioned. But just to show how you judge people, i am actually a millionaire. And again all my documents followed the strict rules and guidelines. Anyway this post is not helping. Just critics

.. I applied for workation. I had all my documents that was needed to be submitted. Checked ✔️ all the boxes, made sure it complied. Basically seeing no reason why i could not get granted a 5 year dtv. Anyway no helpful comments given on this group.. i was purely asking for advice as to criticism.

InspiringAvocado2695 That’s it nothing to question, you would have been granted a DTV if they thought your application met their requirements.

What remote work do you do?

This has happened multiple times. Embassies reserve the right to issue you the visa they think best fit your needs.

There's nothing to inquire. You applied for a visa, and you were granted a visa.

Based on the information you submitted when you applied, the embassy determined you did not need a 5 year visa.

Likely the activity you submitted was not long enough. It's recommended you submit something that is over 6 months, which is how long a multiple entry tourist visa is valid for.
