This should serve as a clear warning to anyone considering applying for the DTV visa using short cooking classes or similar programs. It’s just common sense that 1 -2 months of casual classes are bound to raise red flags when a consular officer is evaluating your eligibility for a five year visa. It’s just common sense.

It’s obviously soft power. Never seen it on workcation. Digital nomad is approved or not. Never just 6 months. Why you feel like you trashed your money? Never guaranteed unless 6 months or more classes. If the Thai history class it seems they decline a lot. If you booked a one or two month course it likely to be TR. use the 6 months then reapply.

ExcellentTravel what's the thai history class?

Sometimes they do this for soft power course of 3 months or less

You did if you paid 10km for a 1900 baht visa. But you must have made a mistake in the application…

@Todd ********
not always about mistake ka

Sometimes they are not feeling confident about your documents or not feeling comfortable about you to give you the visa even if all ok and show them fund in bank.

Sometimes they are so, not a must that there is any mistakes in the application
Jeremy *********
@Todd ********
nope they're doing this more and more it seems.

They deem some not qualified for the dtv and give them the 6 month one instead.

It's gonna get more common as well I think for them to do this.
Todd *********
@Jeremy ********
so the correct answer is yup... he wasted his money. And yup he made a mistake in how he approached the application
