What should I do if I lose my passport while in Thailand?
What would happen if you lost your passport? New passport would no longer match e-visa passport number.
Answer summary
If you lose your passport, report it to the police immediately and obtain a report. Then, visit your embassy to get a new passport, as the new passport will have a different number. After obtaining the new passport, go to immigration to link your new passport with your existing visa. It's recommended to keep the police report and a confirmation letter from your passport issuer regarding the loss and issuance of the new passport to present to immigration.

Simply keep the police report and request that your passport issuer issue a letter confirming the loss of your old passport and the issuance of your new passport. Present it to the immigration officer when you enter.

Have you lost your passport?

Go to police to report it missing. Then use that paper to go to your embassy and get a new passport. Finally go to immigration to have your visa linked to your new passport. I've done it once before and it was smooth. It was not a DTV visa but it should be same process. Good luck.
