I lost my bag with all my passports, visa and bank cards in it. I had 30 day holiday visa, I am travelling for 41 days and was planning to fly to Vietnam to do the boarder run. Obviously now I can’t fly or extend my visa as I don’t have a passport. I am very far away from The Bangkok embassy to get my replacement documents. So I was planning on going back to the embassy a few days before I fly home and just being fined what ever the visa over stay is. I have police reports which proves I have had my passports and visas stolen. Does anyone see a problem with this, or had anything similar?
Thank you
TLDR : Answer Summary
A traveler lost their bag containing passports, visa, and bank cards while in Thailand on a 30-day holiday visa, with plans to fly to Vietnam. Unable to travel or extend their visa due to the loss, they consider returning to the embassy before their flight home and accepting any fines for overstaying. They ask for advice on this situation, noting they have police reports documenting the theft.
