What should I do if I don't want to get the last stamp for my ED visa and leave Thailand instead?

Hello!

Excuse me, I applied 7 months ED visa with a language school, and I went to immigration for stamp every 3 months in last 6 months. Now, next week, I should go to immigration with school documents to get stamp for my last month ---the 7th month.

My question is: if I give up the last month stamp --- next week I don't go to immigration for stamp but just leave Thailand, must I tell my language school or/and immigration? If I just leave the country regardless, then will there be a problem when I enter Thailand again next time?

I'm very angry with my language school because I don't think it respects contract spirits enough. So I don't wanna talk to them unless I have to.

Thanks so much. ๐Ÿ™

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the implications of not receiving the final stamp for their ED visa after 7 months of studying at a language school in Thailand. They express frustration with the school and are concerned about notifying immigration. Other community members advise that failing to cancel the visa extension could lead to future complications, including fines and problems obtaining another visa later.

What happened of your case?
Brandon ************
When you applied for your ED visa and extensions you agreed to notify immigration when your status changes. So if you do not cancel your extension before you leave, if you ever try to get another long term visa/extension in Thailand you will have problems and will be fined 20,000 baht for failing to cancel your extension.

Out of curiosity, once young Johnny Jin cancels his visa; when must the lad leave LOS?

You meant, if the last day of my visa I must be on study in school as the school letter should say, then when can I leave the country? Morning in the class, and afternoon in airport, then depart before midnight?

You can cancel a visa like this about 2 weeks ahead of time. So if you have a letter that says your last day of study is March 31st, you can go to immigration on March 17 with the letter and they will cancel the extension and then stamp in until March 31st.

The last day to stay in Thailand will be the last day of study regardless of when you go to cancel the visa..

Thanks. How should I cancel my extension? Must I go to immigration or I can just call immigration to cancel? Or must I cancel via my language school? And, any documents need I prepare?
Brandon ************
@Johnny ****
you have to have a letter from your school saying the last day you will be studying then you take that to immigration along with your passport to cancel your extension.
