I’ve rescheduled my visa appointment twice and it’s looking likely I won’t be able to show today - is there a way to cancel? If I don’t show up at all, is there any penalties?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the consequences of missing a scheduled visa appointment in Thailand. Comments highlighted that failing to show up could lead to penalties, such as a daily fine of 500 THB, up to a maximum of 20,000 THB, and potential deportation or blacklisting. However, the user clarified that they still had over a month on their current visa and had only completed quarantine recently, indicating they were primarily concerned about the appointment itself rather than immediate visa issues.

Thanks for all the great advice but perhaps I wasn’t clear from the offset. I still have over a month remaining on my current visa and I haven’t extended it at all yet. I was only released from quarantine March 18th, so technically I’ve only been a free man here for a week - I was only wanting to know what happens if you don’t attend a booking at Muang Thong Thani and i’ve been informed there is no penalty for that. I was due to attend today, even though my visa doesn’t expire until May 01st.

I would say you need to get your priorities straight. There are very few things more important than getting your visa extension processed if you want to stay legally in Thailand.

If you do not show up before the last day mentioned in the stamp in your passport, the fine is 500 Thb a day with a maximum of 20.000 Thb and eventually deported and black listed.
