I am a monk. Currently I am at a temple rayong 21160. I want to extend my visa, where should I do it? And what documents are needed. Thank you very much

Monks can get a 12 month ED visa. Usually this done at an embassy outside of Thailand. Best to check with your local immigration office if they'll be able to convert your current visa into an ED visa

 for your situation, you need a type R visa, as you are already ordained. Read what I posted in the other link. It applies to you. You do not need an ED visa.

 At the moment tourist visas can be converted into ED visas in country for other purposes like studying Thai. Good chance that it will be the same for your situation

Previously I ordained in Myanmar. Then I returned to Vietnam. Two months ago I went to Thailand with a tourist passport. Usually only for a month. I then extended my COVID visa for two more months. However now I don't know if it's possible to do so anymore. And the procedure like. I really like it here.

Thank you very much. I have some problems. First, I ordained in Myanmar. And the Buddhist council in Thailand does not approve of this. I also went to wat pananachat. Very good there. however there are a lot of mosquitoes. It's in a primeval forest and it's usually very dark. There are some other problems. They suggested that I should return to the secular life. Then ordained again in Thailand. I will have a certification and this is very convenient when I want to stay in Thailand for a long time. However I don't want that to happen. And finally. If I want to stay at a certain temple. I must have a guarantee and referral from that temple. Then it will be very easy for me to apply for a visa extension

 I have been to Wat Pah Nanachat. I know what it is like. If you want to stay in Thailand as a monk then I would follow what they suggest you do. It is that simple.

 it's a really good environment, here you will meet a lot of people who are really good in secular life, I've met people like that. Their intelligence is relatively stable. I highly recommend this place. very comfortable, i'm trying to fit in with thai style, it's very different from myanmar style. it will be nice if you come back to this holy life. no matter what you are attached to now, let go of it, and go back to the life of a monk.  also, if you want to get into hard core Buddhism, after you get your visa extension, check out Wat Pah Nanachat just outside Ubon Ratchathani. It is a meditation temple compound.

 What applies to you for visa extension is section 13, if you've been ordained, and this must be confirmed with a letter from the Buddhism Council. Pay attention to the beginning. From my understanding you can not do this from a tourist visa. You must already be on a non-im visa. This is a type R visa, and as long as you stay in robes, you can extend it forever.

 you are in Thailand now on a covid extension? You can reapply for another as they extended this until 25th July for applications and see if they approve or not.

 every one uses a passport. The question was what visa did you enter Thailand with ? TR60 or visa exempt 30 days stamp ? Or 15 days VOA ?
