Question: If I obtain my DTV visa (softpower) in Vietnam, can my family later apply for dependent visas in a different country, such as Korea or Taiwan, using my approved visa number?
Answer summary
The post details a question about the ability to apply for dependent visas in another country (Korea or Taiwan) using an approved DTV visa obtained in Vietnam. The community responses generally advise against this approach. They recommend that family members should apply for their dependent visas immediately after the primary applicant's visa is approved, as this increases the chances of success and helps avoid potential complications or changes in requirements.

I applied for mine in my home country in South America, and two months later I applied for my spouse in Hanoi, since we were already in Southeast Asia. I had to submit an updated bank statement, and everything went fine.
Anyway, I agree with James that it’s better to apply shortly after the main applicant, not only because the approval chances for dependents seem higher, but also to avoid any questions or possible rule changes regarding the amount you need to show in the bank.
Not recommended. Apply for family members immediately after the primary adults application was approved. The Thai Embassy or Consulate Staff will recognize that they ALREADY have approved One member of the family.
