Can I submit a Thai DTV visa application while in Cambodia before arriving there?

Hi everyone,

This may be an "overthinking type" of question: I'm currently in Thailand, and I wish to apply for a DTV via the e-visa website from Cambodia, where I'll be from the 14th of this month.

I've started a draft application on the website to see what supporting documents I need to provide exactly, and started inputing information there.

Will it be okay to get the application ready and just hit the "apply" button on the day I arrive in Cambodia?

Or should I just redo the full process when getting there, because of the "start date" which would be prior to me getting to cambodia?

If you have any personal experience to share it would be great 😊

Thanks 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is in Thailand and wishes to apply for a DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) via the e-visa website from Cambodia. They are unsure if they can prepare their application in advance and submit it upon arrival in Cambodia, given the necessary supporting documents. Commenters reassure the user that they can keep the application as a draft and update it once they arrive in Cambodia, but they must wait for the entry stamp and hotel confirmation to finalize the application.

Absolutely you can confirm it once you got your entrance stamp and hotel confirmation. Literally the minute after you cross border you can validate 😀

You can keep your draft and edit your application once you get there (not just hit the send button). As proof of current location you should add the entry stamp in your passport together with hotel address/reciept, so you can't really complete until you get there. There in no rule that you can't add data to the application before you arrive to the country where you apply.

How are you doing the proof of location etc?
