What should I do about my B Visa and work permit expiring amid Covid-19 complications in Thailand?

BOI roadblock...

My B Visa extension and work permit expires April 22.

I‘ve called the BOI daily to ask what happens on the 23rd? They respond each time that I will be in OVERSTAY after the 22nd, even with the new Gov extension to April 30th.

Obviously I cannot do a border run for a new work permit and B Visa extension so am in a catch 22 situation.

The BOI said today (to my company) to get a Covid19 letter from my USA Embassy, which I have been trying to do, but since the GOV Covid19 April 30 auto extend, the USA Embassy has discontinued issuing that letter, and suggest that I hire legal help in the matter.

I did visit CW immigration yesterday and their response was to call the BOI.

Are any of you having the same issue, or have ideas?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is facing a dilemma regarding the expiration of their B Visa and work permit, both set to expire on April 22, after which they have been told they will be considered in overstay. They are struggling to obtain a necessary Covid19 letter from the USA Embassy, which has stopped issuing such letters due to government extensions. The user has reached out to both the BOI and immigration without satisfactory answers and is seeking advice from others who might have faced similar issues or have solutions.

Chompchuri Sq One stop service. Original B Visa was 90 day, then extension of stay expirery same date as work permit.

I guess the best is to talk with your (new) employer about the application for your work permit and extension of stay..

Like people said above.. something in your post sounds strange..

- Have you been on one year extension with BOI company?

- Do you keep working with same BOI company?

- If you are going to change employer, is new one BOI company or non-BOI (so-called standard) company?

Why not just do a normal yearly extension like you did last year ?

Very strange, as when the BOI cancels an Extension of Stay, people do get between 7 and 21 days to stay and arrange a new type of stay. Never heard that the BOI cancels an Extension of Stay and people go directly into overstay.
