Hi everyone. Long story short, I am on a student's spouse visa (O visa for relatives of foreigner students in Thailand). I got a job offer from a BOI company but to be able to process the work permit, seems I have to change my visa to an other type visa that is eligible for work (B type). Any way to do this directly inside the country ? Company says not possible within Thailand. Feel the pain having to travel and apply at an embassy outside, with all travel restrictions in place, quarantaine etc... Thanks ya all !

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is currently on a Non-O visa due to being a student’s spouse and received a job offer from a BOI company. To get a work permit, they need to switch to a B visa. They are inquiring whether it’s necessary to travel outside Thailand for this visa change, as their company suggested it may not be possible to convert the visa within the country.

. Yes you are right actually. I re-checked and I do have a non-o visa :) I will update the initial post. Question being, do I really have to travel out to process a B visa? Isn't there any procedure to convert it inside the country?...
You don’t have a visa b ..you have a non o ( other ) because he has an Ed ....so your company need to ask for a visa b with workpermit ...if they are boi ...their agency know what to do
