What should be included in a travel plan for a Multiple Entry Tourist Visa (METV) application to Thailand?

Hi everyone!

I’m a French citizen currently in Ho Chi Minh City, applying for a Multiple Entry Tourist Visa (METV)

Today, I received a request for additional documents:

1. A detailed travel plan for my entire trip to Thailand, including all destinations, planned activities, accommodation and length of stay at each location.

2. A full copy of my passport (ALL PAGES), including blank pages.

My initial plan is:

* 13 November 2026 – 11 January 2027: stay in Bangkok with my girlfriend.

* 11 January 2027: return to France.

* February 2027: return to Thailand for another stay.

I’d really appreciate some advice from anyone who has experienced this process:

* What exactly did you include in your travel plan?

* Did you provide a day-by-day itinerary or was a general itinerary sufficient?

* For the second trip in February, did you include estimated dates and destinations? + fly booking?

* Did the consulate accept a travel plan without all accommodation and flight bookings already confirmed?

Any advice or examples would be greatly appreciated!

You've already laid out your basic itinerary, now you want to include the stuff that you're going to do in these different places why you want to go there what you're going to do there etc etc. this is where you get to tell them why you love Thailand and what interests you.

For an METV you generally need to show why you need one. So trip to Thailand, trip out of Thailand and trip back to Thailand. Staying with your friend is fine but you might need to get a letter of invitation from her if they ask about accommodation booking.

Asking to see every page of your passport suggests they are wanting to look at your history of time spent in Thailand which might impact the outcome if it's extensive
