Just arrived in Thailand today and would like to give you my experience.

We applied for a 60 day evisa from the Thai embassy in London which took 4 days to come through, we didn’t get an email (which we thought we would)we hade to sign into the Thai website to discover we had got our visas.

We journeyed with Air India from Heathrow connecting in New Delhi, we were never asked if we had insurance, a connecting flight out of Thailand, proof of accommodation or if we had any funds. Maybe we were just lucky but that was our experience.

All we needed was flight tickets, Covid pass, evisas and passports.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user shares their experience arriving in Thailand after obtaining a 60-day eVisa through the Thai embassy in London. They note that the visa took four days to process and they found out through the Thai website instead of receiving an email notification. The journey was with Air India and surprisingly, they were not asked for travel insurance, a return flight, accommodation proof, or funds upon arrival, mentioning that only flight tickets, a Covid pass (implying vaccination proof), eVisas, and passports were required. Other users in the comments discussed the changing requirements related to Covid and visa checks, confirming that the user's experience is common among travelers.

Thanks for the info.

What you experienced was normal. Unfortunately normal rarely gets posted on Facebook. I have been traveling to Thailand since 1989. I have never been asked about how I am going to finance my stay. Only once have I been asked for my onward flight.

Thanks for posting your experience.

If you have a return flight booked they don't need to ask as they already know when you checked in.

Covid pass does not exist anymore and insurance not compulsory so they didn't need to see them either if your wondering why they didn't ask you.

we didn’t have a return ticket with Air India, we booked a separate flight ticket from Bangkok to Cambodia within the 60 days of our visa entry which they never asked for.

@Peter ******
maybe it's because you had the visa. I have never been asked either. Same with the cash one is supposed to carry never been asked to show that either and I come every 2 weeks

Did you have a return flight with Air India within 60 days?

@Graham *****
he said he had proof of travel outside of Thailand

I see it now below, so Air India are not like Qatar for the onward flights then

What's a Covid pass? There's no more Thailand Pass. Do you mean proof of vaccination?

We were asked for our proof of vaccine at Heathrow and New Delhi but not at passport control when arriving at Bangkok.

no insurance requirements anymore. I’m 15 years of travel to Thailand, I have never been asked for proof of funds and neither have any friends. You don’t need proof of accommodation, you just need to write where you’re staying (at least your first night), on your landing card (tm6). Sounds like you had a pretty standard passing though thai immigration.

immigration has been asking more people than usual for proof of first night accommodation, onward travel, and proof of cash.

Better safe than sorry, especially when you have 3 immigration officers grilling you.
