TLDR : Answer Summary
When renewing your visa in Thailand while living with a partner, the primary proof required is a TM30 form. However, additional requirements may vary across immigration offices. Generally, if applying for a 1-year Extension of Stay Permit based on retirement, you'll need to meet financial criteria, including proof of funds (such as a minimum of 800,000 THB in a Thai bank for at least two months). It is advisable to consult your local immigration office for their specific requirements.

and apart from the TM30 registration, you will need to fulfill the financial requirements needed for a "1-year EOS" out of a 90-days Non-Imm-O retirement visa. If you are a citizen of a country whose embassies in Thailand do not issue income affidavits any more, your only choice in the first year is a proof of a deposit of a minimum of 800.000.- THB in a Thai bank account in your sole name. And on the day you apply for the Extension, you need the bank letter that proves the money has been sitting in your account for a minimum of two months

you should be well aware that there is absolutely no Thai Immigration out of the 85 Immigration offices in Thailand, who will allow you to apply for the "1-year Extension of Stay Permit" based on retirement, if you haven't already been registered by a TM30. They won't even start to service you without one

I think it’s just down to the immigration office as to whether or not they want a TM30.

Go to your local immigration office an ask, most of them have different requirements, so it's difficult to give an answer on that.

Each immigration office sets their own requirements. You need to go to your immigration office and ask them for their list of requirements.

Also you don't say what type of visa you are on now and what type of extension you'll be applying for so it's not even possible to give you a basic answer.

Then definitely go to the immigration office and ask them for their handout for a retirement extension. It's a pain to go all the way there just for that, but it will save you from making extra trips when you missed bringing something on the day you want to apply.
