My thai wife has just been issued an e2 spouse visa on the back of mine, my question is the valid from date is this week and expiry date is 6 months time ??

I have a 5yr e2 business visa which expires 2028.

Any help appreciated

As a UK citizen, you can get a 60 month E2 visa on the basis of reciprocity. Since your wife is Thai, she can only get a six month visa - see the reciprocity table below. As noted elsewhere in the comments, this only affects when she can enter the US, not how long she can stay there.

15FEB2024 to 13AUG2024 is called a visa validity date. She has this timeframe only, to enter the states. Once she enters the visa will expire 10JUL2028. Hope this helps.
