Could someone please explain why it says USED on the tourist visa which is valid until 12 aug? I was under the impression i can still extend it on july 12th for one more month but the used stamp confused me ..can i still go get a month extension on this or not?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The 'USED' stamp on your tourist visa indicates that you have entered Thailand using that visa. While your tourist visa may be valid until August 12, the key to your stay is the entry stamp in your passport, which allows you to remain in Thailand for 60 days. You can extend your stay by an additional 30 days at an immigration office for a fee of 1900 baht.
The VISA is valid for 90 days from the date you get it <- meaning you have that long to ENTER thailand. When you enter it's stamped used (as in you USED it to enter thailand ;) )
What lets you stay IN thailand is the entry stamp you got in your passport (not the one you show that's on the TM.6 departure card). There's a stamp just like it stamped IN your passport <- that is what let's you be here for the 60 days.
AND
you can extend that by 30 more days at the immigration office for 1900baht

Itβs a single entry and you entered on it so itβs used.
