What is the typical visa application processing time in Vietnam, and what can I expect during this period?

Looking for insight/ reassurance πŸ€·πŸ™πŸ˜†

Applied at HCMC

I am using issa compass, they submitted all my documents on the friday 16th and and on Tuesday the 20th I was asked for additional documents, tax returns and photos of all my passport pages with something digital showing the date. I submitted everything the following day.

Now technically its day 8 but I cant help feel a little anxious. Anyone have a similar experience?

Keep in mind that most Thai embassies and consulates around the world are currently working on absentee ballots for Thais voting in the upcoming election. They will prioritize that over visa processing for foreigners.

Thank You for your helpful report πŸ‘

Congratulations πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

PRINT OUT THE EMAIL THAT HAS YOUR DTV VISA.

That's what you should do... print it out.

You may have to show PROOF of your DTV Visa to airline staff on check-in for your flight ✈️ to Thailand...even to the connecting airline staff. Or to the land border crossing entry Thai Immigration Officer.

Upon arrival into Thailand, show the DTV visa to the Thai Immigration Officer and look at the STAMP placed in your passport to be sure you are STAMPED in for 180 days.

hi James

Yes received approval last night. However, I did make 2 phones call expressing the urgency because I needed to go back to Thailand today. I am not sure if the phones calls worked but I did not hurt because they understood the urgency. Additionally, I also told them it had been 15 days (not working days) since I first applied.

I applied on 8th, asked for more docs on the 13th, submitted the docs on 14th, visa status changed to "pending approval" on the 20th, silence since then. I'm also pretty anxious as I'm beginning to feel unstable which makes my freelance work routine difficult

What's the status of your visa application on the portal?

Not unusual, Vietnam is busier than before more approvals are taking around 10-15 business days.
