What is the current visa approval status from Ho Chi Minh City for workcation applications?

Dec 12, 2025
Has anyone recently had their visa approved from Ho Chi Minh City? I know there has been national holidays and so things have been a lot slower, but I’ve seen a lot of approvals from Hanoi in the group and none from Ho Chi Minh lately.

I submitted my application for workcation on the 8th December, was asked for more documents yesterday on 10th, and now on “Pending document check (1)”. Anyone else in waiting to hear from HCM?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Many individuals have reported delays in visa approvals from Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) due to recent national holidays. One user mentioned submitting a workcation visa application on December 8 and receiving a document request by December 10, currently awaiting further updates. Others shared similar experiences with their applications, noting that approval timelines may vary and are often reset upon additional document requests. The general sentiment reflects a slower processing pace in HCMC compared to Hanoi.

Anonymous participant Yes, so the countdown starts from the 10th not the 8th. 10th was a Thai national holiday, so process began Dec 11th.
