What are the best practices for applying for a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) in Thailand?
DTV Approved Today! Workcation - Remote employee with 4 months salary slips and 6 months bank statements ( additionally asked) only last 3 months balance was maintained above 500k+ and before that 3 months was less than 500k THB, but i was in Thailand during December - January on tourist visa so i explained them everything in cover letter about my sabbatical and showed them photo of me went to EDC phuket.
Applied via HCMC - 6th June
Request for additional Documents - 15th june
Submitted these addition doc - 19th june
Pending approval - 22nd june
Approval - 23rd june
Make your cover letter very professional, clear and mention what you think would make your case strong. I couldn't show proof of work as such because i do consulting and have no physical screenshots & also, not allowed to share critical info about the client. Mention all of this in your cover letter. show some extra proofs as well if you can like any photo or give explanation of an event happened or anything you think is suitable or have an impact in making your case strong.
for eg - i added one of my thai friend's rent contract front page only and her photo id card of company she works in.

PRINT OUT THE EMAIL THAT HAS YOUR DTV VISA.
That's what you should do... print it out.
You may have to show PROOF of your DTV Visa to airline staff on check-in for your flight ✈️ to Thailand...even to the connecting airline staff. Or to the land border crossing entry Thai Immigration Officer.
Upon arrival into Thailand, show the DTV visa to the Thai Immigration Officer and look at the STAMP placed in your passport to be sure you are STAMPED in for 180 days.

for the rental place information which you also have to add at the time of filing application under accomodation to where i gonna stay in thailand. I just attach it for more credibility and for them to make me trust more.Robert *******

OPAnonymous participant 458 they asked me alot about work proof and even i attached my previous relieving letter from 2 companies and my graduation and MBA Degree. And i have written many many times in cover letter that i will never work for a thai employer or have any intension of poaching thai clients.
Even in my passport - there were total 9 entries of in and out of thailand in the past 2 years and all the time i went on or before the visa expiration date. never any fine. never any over stay.

OPRick Bazuin hey, i applied at HCMC, vietnam. i have indian passport and i am from new delhi.
As such there's no need for agent, but if you think you need a helping hand then go for it.
