“Covid 60 days extension” couple questions:

1. Is there an official date until its being offered?

2. Its stated that its due to being unable to travel because of Covid. But I think traveling is possible now. My mom visited me from Canada couple months ago for example.

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The Covid-19 60 days extension for visa stays in Thailand is officially available until September 27th. Applicants can extend their stay if they can provide documentation from their embassy indicating their inability to travel, although in practice, Bangkok Immigration may not always request such proof. There is uncertainty about potential further extensions beyond this date.

>1. Is there an official date until its being offered?

The last date to apply is September 27th

>2. Its stated that its due to being unable to travel because of Covid.

There are three reasons that a person can apply for a 60 Day Extension Of Stay Based on Unable to Travel due to COVID-19:

1. A letter from your embassy saying you can not return,OR;

2. a print out from your embassy website saying they don’t issue the letters, OR;

3. a print out of a letter from the embassy saying they don't issue those letters.

(NOTE the word "OR").

I know Bangkok Immigration usually doesn't ask for the letter or proof.
