TLDR : Answer Summary
As of now, a 60-day extension of stay based on COVID-19 travel restrictions is available, but the last day to apply for it is September 27th. Requirements may vary by immigration office, but generally include your passport, specific copies of documents, a TM30 form, and a letter from your embassy regarding your inability to travel. Fees of 1,900 THB and other supporting documents such as passport photos and potentially an ID card if renting may also be required.

Im wondering if they will extend this 60 days extension. Normally they announce it way more early right?

1. This isn't a "wondering" group.

2. The LAST time they announced the extension, it was announced extremely early. The times before that it was announced about the same day as the last extension was going to expire.

3. The 60 day extension of stay is not a long-term solution to live in Thailand.

AS OF NOW, the last day to purchase a 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19 is September 27th.

Different immigration offices have different requirements, but all require the following:

1. Your passport and:

a. a copy of your data ("picture") page

b. a copy of your most recent visa (if you have one)

c. a copy of your most recent stamp

d. a copy of your departure card

2. A TM30, filed in the immigration office.

3. The forms (each immigration office may have different forms, and want to use their special forms)

4. A letter from your embassy saying you can not return, OR a print out from your embassy website saying they don’t issue the letters, OR a print out of a letter from the embassy saying they don't issue those letters.

5. 2x passport pictures

6. 1,900 THB.

Different immigration offices have different policies. *SOME* may require:

- The ID card of the property owner where you are staying

- Copies of *ALL* stamped pages in your passport

point D: which departure card is meant? πŸ€” The booked flight for leaving Thailand πŸ‡ΉπŸ‡? πŸ€”

The departure card looks like the attached below. It does not need to be completely filled out. It should be attached to the passport somewhere.

If you lost the card, file a police report, and go to the immigration office and ask for a new departure card. They should give it to you.

, TM6 arrival/departure card. A small part of the form you filled in when you arrive in Thailand. It is supposed to be with your passport.
