Tod Daniels, Iโ€™m about to go to Immigration to apply for the Non-Imm O visa based on marriage. Currently Iโ€™m on a 60 day extension for visit Thai family from amnesty. To apply for the Non-O would I use from TM 87 (apply for visa) or TM 86 (apply for change of visa). Iโ€™m not sure if the extension is considered a true visa or not. Any info would help. Thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the correct form to use for applying for a Non-Imm O visa based on marriage, while currently holding a 60-day extension due to amnesty for visiting family. They are unclear if their extension qualifies as a proper visa and seek clarification on whether to use TM 87 to apply for a new visa or TM 86 to change their existing visa.

how about you state what visa or entry stamp you came in on before the country locked down back in March? That's what controls what form you use

then because you entered with NO visa at all you would use the TM87 form (Application for Visa) and not the TM86 (Application for Change of Visa) :)

Came in on Visa Exempt. Changed to 60 day visit Thai family extension to get proper stamp to get off amnesty.
