Hello all ❣️

Thank you so much for all of your assistance with the extension of our education visas all went well.

I now have a question about travel on an education visa (US Passports). We want to leave Thailand for about 1 week and would like to know the procedure. Do we need to report our intention to immigration prior to leaving? When we return I know we will need to update our TM.30 is there anything else?

Thank you in advance ❣️

TLDR : Answer Summary
When traveling on an education visa in Thailand, it's important to first check with your school for permission to take a week off. Before leaving, you should apply for a Single Re-Entry Permit from immigration, which costs 1,000 Baht. This permit allows you to retain your visa status upon re-entering Thailand. Upon returning, you need to report to immigration within 24 hours regarding your address, and ensure to update your TM.30 form.

First you ask your school if it is okay to take a week of absence of the classroom sessions, than you visit Immigration for the Single Re-Entry Permit, cost 1.000 Thb, this re-entry permit gives you the same permitted up to date on return as you have now. Depending on where you stay and enforcement you have to report at your Immigration within 24 hours after returning on the same address.
