I'm thinking about signing up for Muay Thai classes to get a 6-month education Visa. Currently I'm on the covid-19 extension which as you all know has ended. If I do get the ED Visa will I be able to travel to other countries and come back? I want to visit places like Vietnam and Japan.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The inquiry revolves around obtaining a 6-month Education Visa to attend Muay Thai classes in Thailand after a COVID-19 extension period. The user seeks clarification on their ability to travel internationally, specifically to countries like Vietnam and Japan, while holding an Education Visa. Comments suggest that one would need to attend classes regularly, potentially limiting travel options, and also note that Japan remains closed to tourists.

Japan is not open to tourists. No telling when in hell it will be. Sux!

that I know. I just want to travel to a different country but don't want to come back and have to quarantine again.

You'll actually have to go to classes so you won't really be able to travel around.

you can get an ed Visa just by taking Muay Thai classes. You can show up once a week or once every other week. As long as you train. I plan on going 3 or 4 times a week but there may be one time where I want to leave the country for 2 weeks.

I entered on a tourist visa and then signed up for Thai language School and got an education Visa. That was 6 months ago. I was then told to get a covid-19 extension because my edvs ended with the school. That's where I'm at right now.

I had to switch from an ed Visa to a covid-19 extension. I was told that January 4th was the last covid-19 extension that was allowed.
