TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a re-entry permit on a marriage visa in Thailand, you can indicate any return date on the application, as these dates are not strictly enforced. The re-entry permit will be valid as long as your current permission to stay is valid, which corresponds to the last date indicated on your visa. While it's advisable not to plan to leave right before your visa expires, you can apply for a multi-entry re-entry option if you intend to travel frequently. This would require filling out a TM8 form and providing necessary documents, including a passport photo and a fee. It's also recommended to confirm the requirements with the local immigration office, as processes may vary by province.

If you plan on coming in and out frequently over the year of your extension, then ask for a multi-entry option at the time of getting your stamp. You will need to fill out a TM8 and have copies of all your data and stamped passport pages, plus another photo and 3800 baht. There is a single entry option as well I believe.

You can put whatever dates in the application you want as they are pretty meaningless. The re-entry permit lasts as long as the permission to stay stamp in your passport so that's the last day you can return and apply for the next extension. Not a good idea to cut it so fine though
